Educational retreat in the US
Place Where I Belong
I was hired as a designer for this educational retreat to help find a visual identity of the event. The topic was targeted towards audience with a personal experience of immigration and mixed cultural background. Here we see the elements of three cultures in one illustration - American, Soviet and Jewish. Together with the client we decided to create a “hero” of the illustration to establish a personal association and focus on a thought that we are heroes of our own adventures.
The challenge of the project was to keep a balance between an informal approach to education and the delicate subject of the personal identification, that’s why we came up with an idea to illustrate begs as a symbol of past experiences we want carry into the future.
